Register for upcoming live web session, Organizing a Career Exploration Program on Thursday, August 16th @ 11AM CDT!
Have you ever considered what career options there are related to STEM fields? or How students can access national assets for career exploration? . . .Maybe not, but I challenge you to take a minute to think about answers to these questions and what they might mean for your community.
During the web session Ramona Anand, a SWE Faculty Advisor, will discuss a recent collaboration with the US Army, which resulted in broadening student’s career options and improving the overall socio-economic development of the county. The partnership currently provides opportunities for students to explore career options, get help with declaring majors and measure strength and potential for success. The web session will discuss formal collaboration and memorandum of understanding between a SWE Collegiate Interest Group and the U.S Army. As a participant, you will learn about efforts to extend help to students and the community at-large.
By the end of this session, learners should be able to:
- Explain how to plan out Career Exploration Program
- Discuss how to organize, coordinate, involve and engage schools, community and government with in-house support
- Identify ways to track success and access national resources
Don’t forget to register for Organizing a Career Exploration Program!!!
