(2) WE15 Recap
Thank you to all those who joined us for events at WE15! We had a lot of fun and hope you did too! We hope you also learned a lot to help you succeed during this coming year.
Thanks to all those who came to the Graduate Student meeting on the Thursday of Conference. We had a great conversation about what the Grad Community is looking for in terms of sessions and support. Look for these ideas to be implemented in Webinars, Blog posts, region conference sessions, and events at WE16. The session also had various university grad groups share issues or best practices. Be sure to read the Grad Group Spotlights on the blog for tips on having a successful Grad Group. These tips will also be added to the Blog post: https://swegrad.wordpress.com/2015/04/22/tips-for-starting-a-grad-swe-group/
We had a great turnout for the Graduate Student Meet & Greet networking reception on the Friday of Conference — 70 people came! Thanks to Owens Corning for sponsoring the event, graduate students got to meet each other and we ended up going out to dinner afterwards followed by experiencing the Nashville bar scene. Look for this event again at WE16!
We had a great turnout for Celebrate SWE! as well — an entire table of Graduate Community members with more sitting with their sections and friends. The sessions led by the Graduate Community went well and had great attendance.
Do you have an idea for a WE16 session or event? Stay tuned to Social Media for how you can help prepare for WE16!
