2013 NSF Women, Minorities and Persons with Disabilities in Sciences and Engineering Statistics

The NSF has updated their statistics on women, minorities and persons with disabilities in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) fields for 2013. Most of the data runs through 2010, and as has been consistent for many years, the percentages for women in the STEM programs are low and the percentages for advanced degrees are even lower.

One thing that jumped out at me when I read through the digest was that full time female faculty in STEM fields are less likely to get federal support (roughly a 10% difference).

If you would like to look through the data yourself, it can be found HERE.
