Upcoming SWE Professional Development Webinar- “Author Academy:Insights into Publication Success”

SWE has an upcoming professional development webinar specifically tailored for women in academia (whether graduate students or beyond).

This webinar will air on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at 6pm Eastern (3pm Pacific) and is entitled “Author Academy – Insights into Publication Success”. From the webinar listing, the description is as follows:

In addition to practical advice for successful publication, the webinar will instill a sense of professionalism and standards for scientific communication. It will be useful for anyone involved with scientific communications, with a focus on providing young scientists (MSc and PhD students as well as young Postdocs) with the skills needed for publication success. The presenter focuses on aspects to consider before you start writing a scientific article, how to select an appropriate journal and how to deal with the submission and peer review process.

  • Responding to, and understanding, peer review
