SWE Webinar: WE13 Orientation

For first-time attendees, the annual SWE conference WE13 can be quite overwhelming. With an anticipated record number of attendees and a wide variety of programming, it’s important to know what to expect so you can get the most out of your WE13 experience.

If WE13 is your first annual SWE conference, your first in several years, or if you are just looking for more tips for maximizing your time at WE13, this upcoming webinar will be very helpful for you! “WE13 Orientation” will provide all the tips and guidance for getting the most out of your 3-4 days in Baltimore. Along with highlighting important sessions and events at WE13, we will also share tricks for ‘surviving’ the conference — meals for collegiates, staying alert, networking, choosing between overlapping events, and more.

Following the presentation, the speaker will also be on hand to answer any questions.

Webinar date: 8pm ET / 5pm PT on Tuesday, October 8th

Speaker: Shivani Gupta is a 3rd-year bioengineering PhD student at the University of Washington in Seattle, focusing on engineering recognition proteins. She has been actively involved with SWE since 2008, both as an undergrad at the University of Texas at Austin serving various officer roles, and in Region C as its Regional Collegiate Communications Editor and its webmaster. Now as a graduate student in Region J, she plans to start a graduate group at UW and help increase graduate student participation in Region J as a whole. She is also serving on the Collegiate Leadership Coaching Committee (CLCC) as a coach for Region J. WE13 will be her fifth annual SWE conference.
